Boy that is a great prompt. I can go so many different ways with this. The best way I guess to put this into prospective is to put out there what I now have on my plate: Continue reading “Daily Prompt: Overwhelming”
Lots of ideas on what to write about this prompt….
I could make a list of the things I want to accomplish – Someday like:
- Visit England
- Visit Australia
- Write a Book (in the process of talking about doing this now)
- Retirement (not possible with day and age but a girl can dream)
- Vacation in Red River New Mexico where my husband and I honeymooned
- Been with my son in Heaven and wrap my arms around him tightly
Cling? Cling to what? Life, love, family, friends?
Over the past 14 months I have clung to a lot of things including all of the above. When I think of the word Cling, used to, I would shy away from it. I am not a touchy feely kind of person, ask anyone who knows me. I also wasn’t one that needed anyone to help me with anything. I did’t like asking for help at all (no comments from any of the peanut gallery out there who know me personally). Continue reading “Daily Prompt: Cling”
As I started this new year, I promised myself that I was going to be more proactive about a lot of things. Included below are a handful of what I promised myself:
- a budget for my family that we are going to stick to
- writing/reading the scripture every day (I have a plan to follow to keep me on track)
- working through a wonderful bible study that Kathleen Duncan and her husband have put together regarding Grief
- Seeing the joy in my life not just my loss
- Live in the today, not in what could have been
These are just a few of the things on my list of reminders (I refuse to use the word resolution because I never accomplish those and I am determined to accomplish these). Continue reading “Well Into the New Year….”
So today is December 1, 2016. It has been one year and 22 days since I last heard my Big Bubby’s voice. There are 24 days until Christmas and we just past Thanksgiving. Now that some things have happened over the last 3 ½ weeks, I have a lot of things to update all of you on. Continue reading “And So The Dreaded Holiday Season Is Upon Us….Not Numb for This Season”
So it is fall, school is back in, and football is starting up. As I have previously posted, Million Dollar Brother was chosen as the Texas Tech Masked Rider back in the Spring. If any of you know (Texas Tech Alum for sure know) football of any kind, pee wee, grade school, middle school, high school, college, professional, you will find it in Texas. One of the most honored traditions at Texas Tech is being chosen to be the Masked Rider. There are only 55 of them in the 62 years the program has been around. How many people can say they are one of 55 mascots to a Division One college football team? This is one proud momma! Continue reading “FOOTBALL SEASON IS UPON US….”
WOW, thank you INTENTERGY for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award award! I sure would not have guessed a year ago, I would be writing regularly on a blog to the world. I am 40-something and everyone who has known me for any portion of my life knows that opening my heart and soul to the world would not have been done if not for our loss. In just a few short months I have gone from being someone no one knows much about to clearly opening my soul to the world.
The goal of this award is to share about yourself and then nominate other bloggers you feel deserve the same recognition. So here goes:
